  • Keep your nutrition in mind, drink plenty of water, stretch, and sneak in a nice afternoon nap if you need one.
  • Before you take on your next activity like hiking, biking, or swimming, take the time to warm your body up.
  • Choose comfortable layers of light clothing to stay cool during daytime activities but also warm enough as activities move into the evening.
  • Opt for light backpacks or fanny packs with just the essentials so you don’t overload any already strained and/or tired muscles.
  • Bring healthy snacks on trips and hikes to keep your energy levels and when stopping by a summer barbeque, load up on salads, fruits, vegetables, and lean protein.
  • When traveling, leave plenty of time for breaks and remember to get up and stretch your legs.
