Ok so in reality, I think it's always a good time to go to the chiropractor. However, there are some common signs, that people often ignore, that your body gives you when it's time to seek out help from a chiropractor. Here's what to look for and take action on:
1. You Regularly Take Pain Medication like Tylenol, Advil, Aleve, etc.
If you have to take Tylenol, Advil, Aleve, etc. daily or 3-5 times a week even just to get through your day to day activities, it's time to try chiropractic. Pain medication only masks the pain without healing the cause of the pain. So you will simply have to continue to take pain meds if that is all you're doing to "eliminate" pain. Chiropractic will help get to the cause of the pain so you no longer need to rely on pain medication.
2. Your Shoes are Worn and Uneven
Go find your favorite pair of shoes and look at the soles. They are likely worn down from use, but check and see if they are worn evenly. If not, it's time for a visit to the chiropractor and likely also time for some Foot Levelers so be sure to ask your chiropractor about that.
3. You've Been In a Car Accident (even a fender bender)
Even a small bump can cause whiplash which can lead to long term damage for you. You might not experience any symptoms other than soreness or maybe a stiff neck for a day or two, but to be safe, visit a chiropractor and make sure it doesn't turn into something worse.
4. You Want to Be Proactive About Your Health
Most people only visit chiropractors when they are in pain. Chiropractic can help with pain relief, but it can also keep you from experiencing pain. Consider it a form of preventative care to keep you out of the doctor's office.
